Wendy's BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine

OAKVILLE, Ontario – Wendy's Company is extolling the virtues of pulled pork abroad in Canada with its latest menu offering, BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine.

Poutine consists of french fries, fresh cheese curds and in some cases additional ingredients, topped with brown gravy or sauce. It is one of Canada's most-loved dishes. The Wendy's poutine includes the chain's natural-cut fries as a foundation for warm poutine sauce, cheese curds, hickory-smoked pulled pork, diced red onions and a choice of Wendy's three custom-crafted sauces.

"It's hard to improve on traditional poutine but a lot of Canadians will say we did when we piled on the slow-cooked, shredded BBQ pork," said Lisa Deletroz, director of Marketing for Wendy's Restaurants of Canada. "We're known for our menu innovation and our three custom-crafted sauces — Sweet, Smoky or Spicy — are testaments to our creativity all while delivering mouth-watering flavor."

In addition to the poutine, Wendy's has two other original pulled pork sandwiches — the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and the BBQ Pulled Pork Cheeseburger — that will be available until Nov. 9.
