WASHINGTON – City Line Foods Manufacturing Co., Lancaster, Pa., expanded its recall of frozen pretzel dog products to include an additional 12,282 lbs. of products bringing the total amount of recalled pretzel dogs to 1,208,951 lbs., the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported.

FSIS personnel initially discovered the problem during a routine label review. Inspectors discovered that a releasing agent used on contact surfaces during production included soy lecithin, which is a known allergen that was not declared on the product label. However, City Line Foods personnel discovered the additional product while reviewing records as part of their recall procedures, FSIS noted. The company notified FSIS.

There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the pretzel dog products. The recalled products were produced Nov. 14, 2013 – Nov. 14, 2014.

The products subject to the expanded recall include:

• "Kunzler Cheddar Pepper Frank Pretzel Dogs."
• "Kunzler Pretzel Dogs."
• "Kunzler Turkey Pretzel Dogs."
• "Berks All Beef Pretzel Franks."

The products bear the establishment number "EST. or P-34073" or "34073" inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were shipped nationwide for retail distribution and fundraising. FSIS reiterated that this recall does not affect Auntie Anne's pretzel stores found in shopping malls, airports and other venues.
