SMITHFIELD, Va. – Smithfield Farmland and celebrity chef Amanda Freitag want consumers to know what's fresh in pork.
The company formed a partnership with Freitag to introduce new recipes featuring Smithfield and Farmland branded All Natural Fresh Pork. Freitag will demonstrate how to use Smithfield and Farmland branded pork through and online series on Walmart.com. Additional recipes are available at www.Smithfield.com and www.FarmlandFoods.com. Additional components of the campaign will include print, in-store, PR and digital media strategies.

Freitag, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has been a judge on the Food Network's competitive cooking show series "Chopped" and has gone head-to-head with Bobby Flay on "Iron Chef". She owns her restaurant, Empire Diner.
