MCLEAN, VA. – The Food Processing Suppliers Association announced David Seckman will join the association as president and chief executive officer in August. He will succeed Dr. George Melnykovich, who is retiring this after serving 23 years as president of F.P.S.A.
"We are pleased to have an individual with David’s vast experience and a superb record of accomplishments take the helm at a most significant time in our association’s history," said Barry Shoulders, president of Packaging Technologies and F.P.S.A. chairman of the board. "David Seckman is keenly aware of the challenges facing the global food and beverage industry and he is uniquely qualified to lead F.P.S.A. to meet those challenges successfully."
During the last nine years, Mr. Seckman was chief executive officer of the Natural Products Association. Prior to joining N.P.A., he was with the American Health Care Association in Washington. He has experience in tradeshow development and management as well as international outreach, two program areas of great importance to F.P.S.A.
