Miami-based Burger King Worldwide, Inc. introduced the even bigger Big King sandwich which features two beef patties that total a quarter-lb. of beef, lettuce, onions and King Sauce on a three-layer sesame seed bun. The new Big King retails for$3.69 at participating restaurants nationwide. Burger King has included the sandwich in the chain's two for $5 offer, which allows customers to mix and match premium sandwiches such as the Original Chicken Sandwich, the new Spicy Original Chicken Sandwich and the Premium Alaskan Fish Sandwich.
Burger King plans to support the bigger Big King launch with a marketing campaign that includes social media, broadcast and out of home advertising. The company returned the original Big Kingsandwich to its menus in November 2013.
