SONOMA, Calif. – Krave Jerky voluntarily recalled the company's Garlic Chili Pepper beef jerky on "safety concerns", the Monterey County Health Department said in a statement.

Krave is yet another food company impacted by the recall of more than 8 million lbs. of beef processed by Petaluma, Calif.-based Rancho Feeding Corp. The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is investigating the company for allegedly processing meat from cows with eye cancer without the benefit of federal inspection. A specialty meat purveyor is in negotiations to acquire Rancho Feeding.
