SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Tyson Foods Inc. debuted in sixth place among large-cap companies onForbes' “America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies” list.


Forbesbases its selections on GMI Ratings, which evaluate a set of credibility factors for 8,000 publicly-traded companies in North America. The large-cap category included companies with more than $5 billion in market capitalization.

“Recognition of this sort is always appreciated,” said Sara Lilygren, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Tyson Foods. “It reflects well on the thousands of Tyson Foods team members who make up our company.

“Food is a trust business. Consumers put their trust in us that what they feed their family will be safe to eat,” Lilygren added. “From the farm to the production floor and beyond that into every aspect of marketing, R&D and our corporate offices, the expectation is the same. We always strive to do what’s right.”

Tyson also was recognized byFortuneas one of “America’s Most Admired Companies,” whileInstitutional Investornamed Donnie Smith, Tyson Foods president and CEO, and Dennis Leatherby, CFO, to the publication's “2014 All-American Executive Team” within the food category.
