AUSTIN, Minn. – For the second consecutive year, Hormel Foods Corporation has been recognized on the Military Times EDGE magazine “Best for Vets: Employers list”. Hormel was ranked No. 52 on this year’s list, which evaluates many factors that make a company a good fit for military veterans and their families. Also for the second straight year, the company was named a Top 100 Military Friendly Employer in November by Victory Media, publisher of GI Jobs and Military Spouse.

“We have found that military veterans prove to be exceptional employees and are a good fit for our company,” said Larry Lyons, vice president of human resources, Hormel Foods. “We are honored to receive this recognition for our efforts in providing veterans opportunities.”

Military Times focused on culture and policies that cater to military veterans when conducting and scoring the fifth-annual survey. The survey is a nearly 90-question analysis of a company’s efforts to connect with veterans and provide an environment for success.
