KFC's Double Down

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bread is dead, and the Double Down is back.

KFC announced a limited time offering of the popular chicken "sandwich". The Double Down will be on KFC menus starting April 21 through May 25.

The Double Down includes two pieces of seasoned Original Recipe chicken filets, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of Pepper Jack cheese and the Colonel's Secret Sauce. The Double Down is the most successful sandwich in KFC history. More than 10 million were sold in the US in less than a month when it launched in 2010.

Since then, the Double Down has appeared on KFC menus in Japan, the Philippines, South Africa, Australia and Canada.
