"We expect the addition of these premium cuts of beef jerky and bacon jerky at our retail stores to be a big hit with our loyal guests and travelers during summer activities and road trips," said Ed Greene, senior vice president, Strategic Initiatives of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
The beef jerky is 96-percent fat-free and contains 10 grams of protein per serving. The bacon jerky has 11 grams of protein per serving. It is produced from center-cut bacon and comes in thick slices, according to the company.
Cracker Barrel has launched various licensed food products in partnership with John Morrell Food Group, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods Inc. Other licensed CB Old Country Store products include bacon, lunchmeat, ham and deli meats.
