CARROLLTON, Texas – TGI Fridays is bringing its new summer menu directly to diners. The chain launched its Handcrafted America Tour, which features two custom-built food-sampling trucks that will serve free bites from the new menu.

The multi-city tour will include stops in Detroit, Chicago, Louisville, St. Louis, Atlanta and Washington. A truck already visited the Boston Calling Concert for three days, while a second truck set up at the Soundset Concert in Shakopee, Minn., according to the company. A complete list of venues is available on the tour's official website.

"We're very proud of our new summer menu, featuring a variety of handcrafted items carefully developed by our culinary team to appeal to almost every palate," said Brian Gies, senior vice president, CMO. "Our Guests expect food and drink innovation with an emphasis on taste and quality. Getting the new menu items out on the road and into the hands — and mouths — of both current and future guests allows us to discover unique people and places all over the country that epitomize what Fridays is all about."

The summer menu is part of the company's brand refresh initiative. TGI Fridays updated restaurants and the logo. The company also improved its offerings for gluten-sensitive diners. Recipe innovations include seasoning steaks using hickory smoked sea salt and the addition of new handcrafted cocktails.
