The company plans to renovate the facility and begin manufacturing its El Monterey and Tornados brand frozen Mexican foods. The company expects initial manufacturing operations to start in 2015 with more than 500 employees working at the facility. Products include burritos, tamales, breakfast burritos and Mexican snacks.
“Our expansion strategy included establishing a manufacturing facility on the East Coast,” said Rachel P. Cullen, president and CEO. “Our products are in high demand with significant growth on the East Coast; and for us at Ruiz Foods, it’s all about customer service.”
Ruiz Foods is currently expanding its corporate headquarters in Dinuba and its manufacturing facility in Denison, Texas.
