Bertolli brand Italian-style Tortas.

OMAHA – Italian-style meat pastries have joined ConAgra Foods' line-up of new products launched within the past year.

The Tortas are sold under the Bertolli brand. Similar to a calzone or stromboli, the single-serve pastries contain cheese, premium meats and sauces surrounded by a crust.

“Consumers want restaurant-quality food at home without a lot of prep time, and this includes pizzas, calzones and other popular Italian dishes,” said Jenn Freeman, vice president and general manager, ConAgra Foods.

Italian-Style Tortas retail for $2.99 each and come in two flavors — Three Cheese Marinara and Italian Sausage.

“In addition, ConAgra Foods is known for its breadth and depth of frozen items including pot pies and other hearty meals, and the unique torta adds to our product variety and helps consumers expand their options for at-home dining,” Freeman added.
