FRUITLAND, Md. – A poultry house fire in Fruitland, Md. caused an estimated $150,000 in damages, according to local news reports.

The fire started late Friday or early Saturday. At least 30 firefighters battled the blaze which destroyed the structure and poultry valued at $20,000. Authorities estimated damages to be $150,000.


The cause of the fire remains unknown; however, officials with the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the fire started inside the poultry house.
