SWANVILLE, Minn. – Approximately 19,000 four-week old turkey poults were lost in a recent fire at a barn owned by Jennie-O Turkey, the Todd County Sheriff's Office reported.

The Sheriff's office received a call at 9:26 p.m. about a barn fire in Swanville, Minn. The Swanville Fire Dept. responded, with assistance by the Grey Eagle and Flensburg fire departments. In addition to the loss of turkey poults, the barn sustained major damage and fire crews were on scene for several hours, according to the Sheriff's report.
