CANTON, Mass. — Dunkin’ Donuts is testing an online ordering program and a delivery program. In Portland, Maine, people in the DD Perks rewards program may download the Dunkin’ Donuts On-the-Go Ordering app to place an order through their mobile phone. In Dallas, people may use the on-demand delivery service DoorDash from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and have their orders delivered in less than 45 minutes.
“The ability to skip the line to order your favorite coffee, donut or sandwich any time of day, or to have Dunkin’ items delivered directly to you are two things that our guests have been requesting for some time,” said Scott Hudler, vice president of global consumer engagement for Dunkin’ Donuts. “We are excited to launch these two new tests, and we will continue to evaluate a possible national roll-out for both programs in the future.”
Through the Dunkin’ Donuts On-the-Go Ordering app, people may place a mobile order up to 24 hours in advance. When they are at the restaurant and ready to pick up their order, they may confirm via the app. They may skip the ordering line and go straight to pick-up.
Under the DoorDash delivery service, people may select and purchase Dunkin’ Donuts menu items, including an array of signature coffee, donuts and sandwiches. Dunkin’ Donuts and DoorDash will partner to offer delivery service in the cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington in the coming weeks.
