NEW YORK – JBS USA Holdings recently signed a lease for its first New York office, according to published news reports. The Greeley, Colo.-based company is a unit of Sao Paulo, Brazil-based JBS SA.
The company signed a lease for 18,214 sq. ft. of space on the 29th floor of the historic Seagram Building at 375 Park Ave. The Commercial Observer reported the lease is for 10 years. Asking rents in the building are at $170 per sq. ft.
The Seagram Building, designed by famed architect Ludwig Mies van Der Rohe with Philip Johnson, served as headquarters for the Seagram Company Ltd. It is said to have established the form for the modern corporate office tower. It was featured in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, starring Audrey Hepburn.
