WICHITA, Kan. – Cargill Meat Solutions has engaged Marathon Health Inc. to provide health services to 13,000 union employees and their families.

Marathon Health will provide physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and medical assistants in six new health centers near CMS plants in Fort Morgan, Colo.; Fort Worth, Texas; Albert Lea, Minn.; and Schuyler and Nebraska City, Neb.


“Cargill is committed to improving the health of employees and their families, including services that promote early detection and treatment of identified chronic conditions,” said Jeni McGill, senior consultant of health and welfare programs for Cargill in North America. “Marathon Health’s innovative health center will also leverage existing community healthcare resources as part of a collaborative effort to improve the coordination of care and eliminate fragmented delivery.”

Marathon Health will provide services such as acute care, health assessments, lifestyle coaching and chronic condition management for Cargill hourly employees and their dependents at health centers scheduled to open in 2017.
