Donnie Epp, communications director for Simmons, said the space will include further processing and portioning operations along with limited cold storage. Job opportunities at the facility will include maintenance, production, management and quality assurance positions at a range of pay including hourly and salary compensation.
Simmons Foods recently announced plans to increase hourly pay at many of its facilities to support employee recruiting and retention. The company is a poultry processor with self-reported sales of $740 million. Simmons has processing operations in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, 4,700 employees and six plants.
