INDIANAPOLIS — Here’s one freeze that burger lovers might appreciate: Steak ’n Shake announced the chain will not raise its menu prices during 2016. More than 500 US Steak ’n Shake restaurants will participate in the price freeze promotion, the company said.
“Steak ’n Shake has an extremely strong value proposition that resonates with customers,” said Sardar Biglari, chairman and CEO. “Throughout all of 2016, we have no intention of raising menu prices. To celebrate the menu price freeze, we will happily give away free milkshakes. We operate Steak ’n Shake on a simple principle: If we take care of our customers, our customers will take care of us.”
Steak ’n Shake Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Biglari Holdings Inc., operates 550 restaurants in the United States and abroad. The company was founded in 1934 in Normal, Ill. The company launched a similar promotion in 2012.
