SAN ANTONIO — Surlean Foods, a manufacturer of customized food for restaurant chains, has announced plans to expand its Dallas production facility as part of a capital improvement project that will cost more than $8 million and will create nearly 65 additional jobs. The project is expected to be completed in July.
The plant will have an added culinary R&D center with a customer presentation area as well as enhanced quality assurance capabilities, the company said.
“We are proud to strengthen our operations with this expansion,” said Daryl Scott, president of Surlean Foods. “We look forward to the completion of this expansion. This will give our customers more flexibility when working with us on their proprietary projects. The upgrades and enhancements will showcase Surlean Foods’ culinary direction, new product development and menu innovation strengths.”
