Sanderson
Sanderson Farms promoted three people within their corporate recruiting group.

LAUREL, Miss. – With growth plans that include adding a new poultry complex in North Carolina and expanding its operations in Palestine, Texas, Sanderson Farms announced it is also expanding its recruiting and training roster. In a March 18 announcement, the company announced the promotion of Katie Beth Walton to the position of corporate recruiter as well as the promotions of George Dawson and Marcus Brown, both of whom will work as training managers.

As Sanderson grows its operations, which currently employ 12,000, Walton will work with its college partners to inform potential employees of job opportunities at the company in addition to recruiting employees for Sanderson’s Corporate Trainee and Summer Internship Programs. Prior to her promotion, Walton worked as a recruiting trainee at Sanderson starting in 2013.

Dawson and Brown will design training material for new employees while also working with current managers and employees to enhance their effectiveness. Their responsibilities will also include the recruitment and development of candidates for Sanderson’s management team.

Dawson was promoted from his previous position as an advanced trainee, after working his way up the corporate ladder since being hired as a flock supervisor in 2002. He also worked as a breeder-hatchery manager.

Brown was hired by Sanderson in 2013 as an organizational development trainee. His experience included providing training focused on employee safety, wellness and leadership skills for supervisors.
