ROSEMONT, Ill. – US Foods recently acquired Food Genius, a technology provider that specializes in foodservice data and analytics. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Food Genius employees will join US Foods.

Food Genius scrapes data from restaurant menus posted online and uses technology applications that simplify the process of transforming this unstructured data into application-ready datasets and actionable business insights.
