LIVERPOOL, Australia- With poultry processing and production operations in Australia and New Zealand, Inghams Enterprises announced plans to invest $197 million in its South Australian operations, allowing the company to increase its capacity throughout the production chain. Plans include adding breeder farms in Monarto and Ymali, renovating the processing plant in Bolivar, expanding its Murraylands hatchery and possibly building a new feed mill at its Murray Bridge complex.
With The projects are being supported with a $2.7 million contribution from the South Australian government. Most of the projects should be finished within the next year and are expected to add more than 850 jobs over the next two years.

We supply more than one third of the nation’s chicken production with our South Australian sites supplying the eastern seaboard and Western Australia,” said Mick McMahon, CEO of the company. “Chicken provides consumers with high quality, low cost, healthy meal options.
