The newest addition to MEAT+POULTRY’s podcast series features a hard working Navy reserve officer who took on the daunting task of visiting 365 barbecue joints across the US and published a book ranking the top 100 eateries.

Johnny Fugitt accomplished that on the way to completing his book project called “The 100 Best Barbecue Restaurants in America.” 

Fugitt, talks about his strategy of feasting on slow-cooked, smoky meats day after day and how he ranked all of the restaurants. The book also includes his stories from the road, from barbecue Meccas across the country.
