WILDER, Idaho- CTI Foods announced today that it appointed Raymond (Ray) Silcock as its executive vice president and CFO. The appointment was effective June 6. Prior to his new position at CTI, a custom foodservice processor, Silcock was CFO at Stockton, Calif.-based Diamond Foods. Silcock will be based in Wilder and reports to CTI president and CEO Sam Rovit.
“I am extremely pleased at the opportunity to partner with Ray again,” Rovit said. “We worked together at Swift & Company 10 years ago and I’ve followed his career successes closely ever since. We are fortunate to add someone to the CTI leadership team with his breadth and depth of experience.”

Silcock’s responsibilities will include providing financial council and business insight on strategy and operations, working with senior leadership on business initiatives and company strategy, and responsibility for all financial matters.
“Having spent most of my career in the food sector, what attracts me to CTI is the opportunity to create a true industry leader,” Silcock said. “At $1.5B, CTI is one of the largest suppliers in a fragmented market and I see great potential here for M&A, as well as for innovation-driven growth with new and existing customers.”
Before joining CTI, Silcock led global finance and accounting at Diamond Foods and helped lead the successful sale of Snyder’s-Lance earlier this year. Before working at Diamond, he helped guide The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company out of bankruptcy as CFO. He’s also held executive positions at Cott Corp. and Campbell’s.
Silcock holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the Univ. of Pennsylvania and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Cost & Management Accountants.
