WATERLOO, Ontario – Handtmann Canada Limited celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 9 and 10 with an open house at their newly renovated 22,000 sq.- ft. headquarters facility.
The company dedicated the Arthur Handtmann Technology Centre and the unveiling of a history wall that includes key milestones ranging from Handtmann’s founding in 1873 to the introduction of the revolutionary new VF 800 series that debuted in May and was introduced globally at IFFA in May.
According to Tom Kittle, president of Handtmann Canada Limited, more than 125 guests from Canada, Germany, and the United States joined the 25th-anniversary celebrations.
Day one consisted of customers, media members and dignitaries receiving featured tours, demonstrations, and remarks by Karl Keller director of Albert Handtmann Maschinenfabrik, and Kittle. Day two consisted of actives for 75 sales, service and administrative employees and their families.
“We appreciate that our company, going on its fifth generation of family leadership, had the foresight in the 1960’s to see the potential of our Canadian food processing industry and the wisdom 25 years ago to realize that an independent local Canadian company is the most appropriate way to deliver services to our customers and support for our industry, ” Kittle said.
