AUBURN, Ala. – Chicken Salad Chick, the southern inspired, fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain, has appointed Tom Carr as vice president of marketing, and Carrie Evans as director of franchise development. Carr will lead the marketing team in the execution of brand, national and local marketing and Evans will work with franchisees to achieve long-term goals while maintaining the brand’s core values.

Carr’s marketing experience includes leadership positions in the marketing departments of Discovery Communications, Spanx, Nike and Turner Broadcasting, in addition to ownership of and independent marketing consultancy. He’s held senior roles at top agencies and managed multi-unit restaurant and beverage accounts including Coca-Cola fountain and Outback Steakhouse. Also, he played a role in taking Little Caesars from a regional to a national chain.
Evans’ has 13 years of hands-on experience in the franchising industry. She’s the previous director of development for Nothing Bundt Cakes and helped the company double its number locations. She held multiple roles with CiCi’s pizza during a long-term tenure at the chain. Evan’s proficiencies include building and implementing processes to reinforce the infrastructure of a brand, and experience that lends itself to awarding franchises to new owners, assisting franchisees with the build-out process and seeing them through the grand opening phase.
