TOKYO – KFC Japan, a unit of Yum! Brands Inc., plans to revive its all-you-can-eat fried chicken deal, but this time the chain will extend the offer through the summer, from July 13 to Aug. 31.
The crunchy chicken deal comes with some caveats: Every Wednesday for the price of about $13.40, customers will receive three pieces of original recipe chicken, a biscuit, small fries and a medium drink with free refills. However, the promotion is only available for 45 minutes and reservations are required. The offer will be available at 207 KFC restaurants.
Previously, KFC Japan held the all-you-can-eat promotion for one day. But the fast-casual chain hopes to attract more customers to its stores by extending the deal through the summer. The strategy is also a nod to Japanese culture, which embraces all-you-can-eat dining with offerings such as sushi.
