Dine Safe was designed by a hospitality industry veteran with personal food needs. It includes vegetarian, vegan, kosher, paleo and other popular choices in addition to allergies and restrictions.
The UK and EU require disclosure of allergens in foods due to the serious nature of food allergies, and many states in the US are beginning to do the same. DineSafe provides restaurants the opportunity to gain business from people who might think to eat at a particular place due to their dietary needs.
“Here at DineSafe, #KnowWhatsInYourFood is more than a hashtag — it’s a mantra. We are forward-thinking and created to get out ahead of food allergy regulations and the food preference trends because we know what it's like to live with food allergies,” explained DineSafe, LLC co-founder and head of operation Nick Caturano. “DineSafe provides restaurants with an accurate, real-time tool for keeping track of all menu item ingredients in a centralized location and a standardized format that helps guests, servers, chefs, and even hosts or hostesses access the information and use it in a way that caters to their establishments and their customers personally.”
The next thing on DineSafe’s plate is the introduction of more information, including calories, carbohydrates, protein and fat content. Other future plans include expansion into other countries and languages.
The DineSafe app is available on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. For more information, visit www.dinesafeapp.com.
