ST. LOUIS – Anheuser-Busch recently launched a new line of premium barbecue sauces during the taste of St. Louis Kickoff Party. The beer manufacturer co-developed the sauces with The Fremont Company, which will also produce and distribute the product.
The new sauces will be available in five flavors: Classic, Sweet & Smoky, Honey, Sweet & Spicy and Bold & Spicy. A limited number of the sauces were made available to attendees at the 2016 Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, which took place Sept. 16, 17 and 18 in the Chesterfield Amphitheatre in Central Park and Chesterfield Village in St. Louis.
Vito Racanelli, Jr., Anheuser-Busch executive chef-on premise and executive chef of the Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, unveiled the new sauces at the kickoff party along with Anheuser-Busch Executive Chef Sam Niemann, who co-developed the sauces.
“Anheuser-Busch has the unique resources of on-staff executive chefs backed by the culinary innovations of the Fremont Company,” Racanelli said in a news release. “Chef Niemann and I spent more than six months refining the flavor profiles of the new sauces such that they’re worthy of carrying the Budweiser name.”
The Fremont Company is a 111-year-old consumer foods company based in Fremont, Ohio. The company makes and distributes private label and branded food products, including Frank’s Sauerkraut and private brand ketchup.
