Kevin Bacon tweeted his regrets for being unable to attend Brattleboro's Baconfest.
The local Chamber of Commerce launched a campaign to convince the actor and musician to attend the third-annual festival which was held Sept. 17. But Bacon tweeted his regrets that he wouldn’t be attending, saying he was filming in Vancouver:

The Chamber launched a social media campaign, and residents were photographed with a life-size cutout of him named Flat Bacon as part of the promotion. US Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) was photographed with Flat Bacon and Gov. Gary Shumlin appeared in a video with the cutout to encourage Bacon to attend the festival.
Baconfest organizers capped off the 2016 event with a screening of “Footloose.”
