RICHMOND, Va. – Effective Oct. 1, 2016, Tom Ondrof will take over as Performance Food Group’s (PFG) executive vice president and CFO, PFG announced today. As leader of the corporate finance department, Ondrof will oversee accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations and financial planning. He will report directly to George Holm, PFG president and CEO.
Ondrof comes to PFG, a foodservice distributor serving restaurants, institutions and retailers, after an extensive career with Compass Group North America lasting 24 years. During that time he’s served as director of financial planning from 1991-1996, corporate controller from 1996-1999, and CFO from 1999-2010. In 2010, he became chief strategy officer before his most recent position as chief development officer from 2013-2015.
“Tom Ondrof is the ideal executive to lead our finance function, and we’re fortunate to have someone of his caliber play a key role on our executive leadership team,” Holm said in a statement. “Tom is a seasoned business leader who combines extensive foodservice experience with a significant background in strategic executive positions. While serving as CFO of Compass, he helped achieve exceptional revenue and profit growth.”
Ondrof takes the place of Bob Evans who is retiring after seven years as CFO at PFG. “Bob Evans led PFG in its critical transition from a private company to a public company with a very successful IPO and an enhanced capital structure,” Holm added. “He leaves us with a very solid financial foundation and we wish him the best.”
Ondrof’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wake Forest Univ. and an MBA degree from the Univ. of Georgia. He serves on the board of visitors for Wake Forest’s School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
