McDonald’s Japan returns Bacon Potato Pies as part of the 45th anniversary celebration for the company.
McDonald’s is bringing back one of its most popular menu items in Japan: The Bacon Potato Pie.
The pie is similar to the apple pie Americans enjoy at McDonald’s with the pocket of fried dough filled with apples and cinnamon. The only difference for the Japan version is it is stuffed with bacon, potato and onion.
The Bacon Potato Pie was a mainstay on Japan McDonald’s menus from 1990 to 2002, but has been absent from menus since then. The pie is a part of the 45th anniversary celebration of the company in the country.
