SAN DIEGO – Jack in the Box Inc., announced the promotion of Vanessa Fox to vice president and chief development officer. Beginning in 2014, Fox was responsible for company and franchised restaurant development for the Jack in the Box brand, including real estate, architecture and construction. She also began overseeing the development for the Qdoba Mexican Eats brand earlier this year. In addition, Fox oversees business development, asset management and non-traditional restaurant development for both brands.
“Vanessa has done an amazing job overseeing restaurant development for Jack in the Box and, more recently, Qdoba,” said Lenny Comma, chairman and CEO for Jack in the Box Inc. “Given our plans to accelerate growth for both brands, we could not have a more qualified person than Vanessa overseeing restaurant and franchise development.”
Fox’s experience includes 25 years of real estate development and almost 20 years with Jack in the Box. She started with the company in 1997 as a development coordinator in Portland, Oregon. She’s served as lease administrator, senior manager of real estate assets, director of franchise sales, division vice president of franchise business development and vice president of the franchise business development department.
Fox has an MBA from the Univ. of Redlands, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Univ. of Phoenix and a culinary certificate from the San Diego Culinary Institute.
