PASADENA, Calif. – Pasadena, California-based Dog Haus and American Development Partners have announced a deal that includes 300 new Dog Haus locations in 12 states and $500 million in real estate, construction and design value over the next seven years.
Construction of the new locations is planned for land primarily purchased for “built to suit,” stand-alone Dog Haus Biergarten concepts. The deal makes the gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept one of the fastest growing food concepts in the United States.
With stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah, Dog Haus will add stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, and Wyoming. The franchise deal will increase the number of Dog Haus stores from 21 to more than 450, including franchises already sold.
“Since opening the first Dog Haus in Pasadena, California, six years ago, we’ve been tirelessly committed to working closely with our franchisees to create an unparalleled dining experience for our guests at each and every Dog Haus location,”said Dog Haus partner André Vener, who co-founded the concept with friends and fellow partners Hagop Giragossian and Quasim Riaz in 2010. “We couldn't be more excited to join forces with American Development Partners and continue raising the Dog Haus experience to new heights across the country.”
Originally franchised in 2013, the concept experienced a tremendous growth period. Giragossian, who is part of Dog Haus’ culinary team and oversees menu operations, commented further, “Our entire culinary and operations team will continue to ensure that the high-quality that has made the brand a ‘haus’ name in Southern California is preserved as it crosses state borders.”
The primary role of American Development Partners will be to aid in development of the new locations, facilitate land acquisition and oversee the construction of the new locations.
“In addition to their vision, leadership and integrity, Dog Haus is an industry leader in food quality and has a proven track record of producing above average sales,” Caleb McMillen, COO of American Development Partners, said in a statement. “Combined with their exceptional marketing appeal, we're looking forward to working with many experienced franchisees to help expand the brand into 12 states across the country and filling a void in a restaurant sector that we feel has an incredible upside.”
