The company in a news release said it will enter into agreements in which OneFoods, formerly known as Sadia Halal, and BRF share some operational and corporate costs and provide certain supplies and finished goods to each other.
The restructuring process includes the transfer of resources related to Halal food production, including grain storage facilities, feed mills, contract farming agreements, hatcheries and eight slaughtering and processing plants in Brazil and one processing plant in United Arab Emirates in addition to other assets which will be transferred to SHB Comércio e Indústria de Alimentos SA or directly to OneFoods, BRF said.
In addition to OneFoods, BRF owns Al Khan Foodstuff LLC, a frozen food distributor based in Oman, Jordan. OneFoods is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
