WASHINGTON – The Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for frozen chicken nugget meals produced by a Conagra Brands Inc. facility in Marshall, Missouri, after the company notified the agency that the brownie dessert in the meal may be contaminated withSalmonella.

 

Conagra Brands became aware of the problem after a supplier told the company that an ingredient in the brownie mix may be contaminated with Salmonella. FSIS said there have been no confirmed adverse reactions due to consumption of the meals.

The alert applies to 7.4-oz. vacuum-packed trays containing “BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese” with Code 3100080921 and a “BEST IF USED BY” date of July 20, 2018. The breaded chicken nugget, macaroni and cheese and chocolate brownie meal trays were produced on Jan. 26, 2017.

The affected products bear FSIS establishment number “P-9” printed on the side of the box. The items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
