DALLAS – Clean label foodservice company, Somma Foods, has announced Michelle Reitzin-Bass as director of sales for the western US, effective April 29. Reitzin-Bass will manage relationships with the company’s customers on the West Coast and establish Somma in the region.

"She brings a wealth of knowledge in K-12 foodservice, specifically in her home state of California. With Michelle leading our sales efforts in the West, we are positioned to provide the best possible experience to our customers while continuing to expand our availability to school districts from coast to coast."
Before joining Somma, Reitzin-Bass served as Buena Vista Foods’ director of sales and marketing where she managed 350 k-12 accounts. She was also a key player in the growth and success of Integrated Food Service and Don Lee Farms. She has over 30 years of experience in foodservice marketing and sales.
Reitzin-Bass has been an advisor to California School Nutrition Association (CSNA) and maintains memberships to industry organizations including the School Nutrition Association (SNA), California Restaurant Association (CRA) and American Commodity Distribution Association (ACDA).
Somma Foods supplies several of the largest US school districts with clean label protein products and provides food solutions through its Chickentopia and Merrywood Farms brands.
