ATLANTA – Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. announced development deals for 10 new restaurants in Canada as the company launches into aggressive expansion in the country.
Arby’s signed development agreements with Mazhar Malik and Santosh Menon to open an initial five restaurants in Calgary, Alberta; Daljit Singhrai to open four additional restaurants to his current portfolio of Arby’s in Vancouver, British Columbia; and Gloria Holliwel to add an additional restaurant to her current portfolio of Arby’s in Edmonton, Alberta.
“These new development agreements demonstrate a strong level of confidence in Arby’s,” said Greg Vojnovic, chief development officer of Arby’s. “Canada is a market where we see significant growth potential, particularly in Vancouver and Toronto.”
The company currently has 65 restaurants in Canada. This latest announcement represents the largest expansion in Canada for Arby’s since 2009. The restaurants will be developed over the next three years.
