CARLYLE, Ill. – Paul Fox has joined pork producer The Maschhoffs as COO, the company recently announced.

As COO, Fox will be responsible for operations across the company’s nine-state footprint, which includes a 218,000-sow breed-to-wean business with an annual production capacity of approximately 5 million market hogs. He also will work closely with The Maschhoffs’ general managers across the company’s five production regions.
Fox most recently served as managing director of economic benefits for Family Farms Group in Brighton, Illinois. In that role, he helped the company’s farmer-members implement strategies to enhance revenue, reduce costs and scale businesses.
Fox began his career at Tyson Foods Inc. as a management trainee. He spent 17 years at Tyson working in numerous roles that eventually grew to include international operations. After Tyson, Fox entered the private equity sector, where he led three corporate turnaround projects as CEO – at Dickinson Frozen Foods, Marfood USA (subsidiary of Brazil’s Marfrig Group), and O.K. Industries, a leading US poultry company.
Fox is a graduate of Missouri State Univ. where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He also earned a master’s degree in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown Univ. in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
