SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Tyson Foods Inc. announced Scott Spradley as the company’s new chief technology officer effective June 26.

In his new role with Tyson, Spradley will lead the company’s information technology team and engage new technologies and systems that enable growth. He also will be part of Tyson Foods’ enterprise leadership team. Devin Graham, who served as interim chief technology officer, will remain with the company as vice president, technology and support and help Spradley transition to his new role.

“Scott is a highly accomplished senior executive who has the talent and experience to help us take advantage of emerging technologies,” said Tom Hayes, president and CEO of Tyson Foods. “His role is important because technology is a key enabler of sustainable growth.”

Spradley was chief information officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he has worked since 2008. He recently led efforts to separate IT functions after Hewlett Packard split into two companies — Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. Spradley also worked at Chevron where he led North American shared services. Additionally, he held several leadership positions at Intel.

Spradley holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Diego State Univ.
