“Growth in Latin America is a key strategic priority for our company. We have over 300 restaurants in the region and have signed development commitments to build close to another 200 Carl’s Jr. locations. We are very excited to open in Nicaragua today to fill the market’s void for premium burgers,” said Ron Coolbaugh, senior vice president of international franchise operations at CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., parent company to Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants. “We’re confident that Deli Star, with their 50-year heritage and unparalleled restaurant expertise under the Delipollo umbrella, will help us to set a solid foundation in this country as we expand.”
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the new Carl’s Jr. will offer guests a fresh-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
“We’re honored to introduce this prestigious global burger chain to our country and look forward to expanding its reach across Nicaragua,” said Martin Rosales, Delipollo board member. “Nicaragua not only has a fast-growing middle class but also a booming youth population, both of which seek fresh, craveable, high-quality food. Carl’s Jr., with its affordably priced better burgers and other innovative menu items, is poised to bring a superior quick-service dining experience to Nicaragua.”
Carl’s Jr. Restaurants LLC and Hardee’s Restaurants LLC have over 3,800 franchised or company-owned locations in 42 countries with plans to expand.
