“We are very excited about establishing and expanding the Papa John’s pizza brand in these three countries,” said Chris Wynne co-owner and CEO of PJ Western. “We believe our success in Russia will transfer to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Poland and our new customers will love our ‘Better Pizza’ and quality ingredients.”
PJ Western has agreed to open 16 restaurants over the five years in Kazakhstan. The first store will open in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty, in the next few months. The company also has plans to open its first store Kyrgyzstan during the fourth quarter of 2017, with plans for six stores in the capital city of Bishkek over the next three years. Another 23 Papa John’s stores are in the works for Poland.
