An undetermined amount of drumsticks was recalled by Belmont Sausage Co.
The products were produced between Sept. 27, 2015, and Sept. 27, 2017, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). FSIS inspectors discovered the misbranded products with undeclared allergens on the label during routine label verification checks.
The suspected products include establishment number P-21309 inside the USDA inspection stamp.
According to the USDA, the products were shipped to an institutional processor in Michigan that distributes its products nationwide. No illnesses or injuries related to the consumption of the products have been reported.
The products in the recall included:
- 25-oz. to 29-oz. plastic-lined boxes containing 18 pieces of Wolverine Packing Co. complete protein solutions Smoked Turkey Drumsticks (lot code: 20144);
- 20-oz. to 24-oz. plastic-lined boxes containing 20 pieces of Wolverine Packing Co. complete protein solutions Smoked Turkey Drumsticks (lot code: 20148).
