Eric Mittenthal, vice president, public affairs, was available to discuss the nutrition benefits of meat at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’s annual meeting, the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo.
The association offered attendees, a range of degreed nutrition educators, a comprehensive review of facts on meat and poultry. This included the popular Meat MythCrushers publication, which has been reviewed by the American Meat Science Association (AMSA), along with new marketing materials promoting the protein content of meat snacks such as jerky, as well as the many better-for-you options in the bacon, deli meat and hot dogs categories.
