Duck Bone Broth is a staple component in French and Asian cuisine, according to Pacific Foods, while the Poultry Bone Broth is suitable for most recipes. All Pacific Foods’ bone broths contain certified organic ingredients and are packaged in 8-oz. BPA-free aseptic cartons. The products retail for $4.99 to $5.59 per carton.
“As the leader in natural and organic broth, we’ve been at the forefront of the bone broth resurgence since the beginning, bringing exciting and unexpected flavors to consumers’ pantries,” said Ben Hummel, senior brand manager for Pacific Foods. “When we looked to expand on the five varieties we already offered, duck and poultry were a natural choice. We think our fans will connect with these new specialty options.”
In July, Campbell Soup Co. agreed to acquire Pacific Foods for $700 million in cash. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Pacific Foods generated approximately $218 million in sales in the 12 months ended May 31, 2017.
