WASHINGTON – The US Dept. of Labor ‘s Occupational and Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced it will accept, without penalty of enforcement action, employers’ submissions of injuries and illnesses dating back to 2016 if they are sent using OSHA Form 300A via the Injury Tracking Application (ITA) by Dec. 31, 2017.

As of Jan. 1, the ITA will not accept data from 2016.

The reporting program is part of OSHA’s mission to carry out the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to ensure the safety of workplaces for employees. OSHA establishes and enforces standards and provides educational and training resources.
