BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Walmart is set to rollout new meal kits to more than 2,000 stores in 2018. The meals also will be available through the company’s online grocery pickup service.

“Customers are busier than ever, and we know getting a delicious dinner on the table can be a chore. We’re here to help,” said Tyler Lehr, senior vice president and general merchandise manager, Deli Services, Walmart US. “These delicious meals give the best or worst of cooks a fresh, easy option for dinner tonight, or later this week.”

The company’s Culinary and Innovation Center developed and tested the meals. The meal kits are prepared and assembled in-store daily and available in the deli section along with rotisserie chicken and additional heat-and-eat items. Several options are available to consumers:

Pre-portioned meal kits include prepped ingredients that consumers can cook at home. The pre-portioned line includes Steak Dijon, Basil Garlic Chicken, Sweet Chili Chicken Stir Fry and Pork Florentine.
