KANSAS CITY, Mo -- On July 19, the president of the American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP), Louis Muench, hosted the welcoming session of the American Convention of Meat Processors and Suppliers’ Exhibition in Kansas City, Missouri.

After some opening remarks, Muench presented the F.W. Witt Supplier of the Year Award to Rick McLimans of Excalibur Seasoning Co., headquartered in Pekin, Illinois. According to AAMP’s website, this award was instituted, “To honor a person and/or supplier member who has devoted much of his or her career to the meat and poultry industry, particularly small and medium sized plant operators”.

The Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center is hosting the AAMP Exhibition July 19 through July21.
